The University of Music of the Fondazione Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana is delighted to welcome Omar Tomasoni, 1st trumpet of the Concertgebouworkest Amsterdam, Enzo Turriziani, 1st trombone of the Wiener Philharmoniker and percussionist Kai Strobel, winner of the ARD competition in 2019, to its team.
Omar Tomasoni and Enzo Turriziani will open a new class alongside the existing classes of Francesco Tamiati, first trumpet at the Teatro alla Scala and Andrea Conti, first trombone at the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. For Kai Strobel, on the other hand, it is a question of opening a class in anticipation and preparation for the retirement of Mo. Bernhard Wulff.
These were three very intense and interesting competitions with the participation of candidates of an exceptional artistic level. A trend that has been going on for several years now, making our School particularly attractive on a national and international level.
